Tambankulu Estates is one of the big agri-businesses in Eswatini focusing mainly on sugar cane farming. The Estate was initially developed in 1951 as a cattle ranch, but then later in 1955 irrigation works were established on the Umbuluzi River, and the production of sugar cane began. Today The estate is well known for producing the best sugar cane which is used to produce the sweetest sugar that is either used locally or exported to other countries through the Eswatini Sugar Association.
